On this page you can find a listing of exhibits I have put together as a librarian to highlight specific topics or areas in our library collection.

1. Fire Science Library Brochure and Display
For the 2012-2013 school year, I was the John Jay Library liaison to the Fire Science department. In order to increase knowledge and interest about resources available at the library for that department, I put together a handout and display in a prominent part of the library to attract student attention. The handout is meant to give some highlights as to book, database, and outside links that deal with fire science.

2. Graphic Novels Brochure and Display 1 2
For February and March of 2013 I put together a handout and display concerning our graphic novels collection in the most prominent part of the library in order to attract student attention and generate student interest in our resources. The brochure is meant to list some recommended materials to interested students, including books and libguides.

3. Crime Fiction Brochure and Display 1 2
For April through September 2013 I put together a handout and display to highlight our crime fiction collection to our patrons. The brochure lists some recommended materials that might interest students, including books and libguides.

4. Poetry Brochure and Display
For April 2014 I put together a handout and display to bring attention to available poetry collections and materials for National Poetry Month. The brochure lists some recommended materials that might interest students, including books and libguides.

5. World War One Brochure and Display 1 2
Starting in May 2014 and running through the entire summer is an exhibit to celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the start of the First World War. This prominent display highlights materials in the Lloyd Sealy collection dealing with the run-up to the war, the war itself, and its aftermath. The brochure for the exhibit lists some materials that might interest students, including books and libguides.

6. Shakespeare Brochure and Display 1 2
Installed in January 2015 I created a display to bring attention to William Shakespeare and his works. The brochure highlights a variety of interesting materials available from the library.

7. George Orwell 1984 Anniversary Display 1
Installed in December 2019, this display commemorated the seventieth anniversary of the publication of George Orwell’s novel 1984.
