Below are some materials that I developed as a student in the Masters of Library Science program at Pratt Institute in New York City.
1. Material Selection Policy Package
This is a material selection policy that I created as a project for a class in collection development that was taught by Barbara Genco in Fall 2006. I chose to exercise some creativity with this assignment and so the policy deals with a completely fictional library in a future dystopian setting. I am particularly proud of this work.
2. Collection Development: Building the Popular Library
This paper was completed for a class in collection development that was taught by Barbara Genco in Fall 2006. I outline some understandings I developed during my time as a library student on what should be the basis of putting together a popular library.
3. Finding Aid for a Collection titled: A Random Box
Using materials provided by the Explorers Club, my archival management classmates and I were each given an individual box of papers and materials to sort and catalog. This Finding Aid is the final result of several weeks of careful effort on my collection. This project was completed during the Fall 2006 semester.
